ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Member of the Australian Performing Arts Association and the Australian National Choir Association

The SeaSide Singers Community Choir was formed in the Tomaree Peninsula area of Port Stephens in March 2009 and is located in Nelson Bay, with members from Anna Bay, Corlette, Soldiers Point and Salamander as well. The members of the choir range in ages from mid thirties to late seventies.

It is a non-profit making organisation consisting of approximately 45 members. We meet every Tuesday evening from 7pm – 9pm at the Community Centre, Salamander Bay.

The founders are Diana Souter, graduate of the London College of Music, and her husband, Ronald Souter, a retired Accountant and singer. SeaSide Singers is now an incorporated association and is governed by a management committee of six, each with expertise in their allocated areas of responsibility. The committee meets monthly to oversee the activities, policies and expenditure of the choir.
